TSF does not provide investment, financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and we are not registered or licensed to do so. Nothing on this site, or in any conversation with us, is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security. If you need advice of that kind, get it from a regulated adviser.
Section 02
When we back a founder, we are stating that we have chosen to put our own judgment, network, and reputation behind him. We are not telling any investor what to do with their money, and our decision to back a company is not a recommendation that anyone invest in it. Investors work with the founders we back on their own terms, after their own diligence, and at their own risk.
Section 03
Where we introduce a founder to an investor, or an investor to a founder, we are making an introduction and nothing more. We are not acting as agent for either party, and each side remains entirely responsible for its own due diligence and its own decisions. That an introduction came from us says nothing about whether the investment is sound, and it should not be treated as if it does.
Section 04
TSF does not currently pool capital, manage a fund, or invest through any vehicle. Investors who commit capital to companies we back invest directly in those companies, on terms negotiated directly with them. We take our own equity when we back a company, because we have chosen to back it, not because we have raised money for it, and that equity has no bearing on what any investor negotiates for themselves.
Section 05
Backing a founder does not guarantee an allocation, a term sheet, or an investment from any particular investor. It does not guarantee a successful outcome, a return, or that the company will perform as anyone hopes. Every investment carries the risk of partial or total loss, and nothing about our involvement changes that.
